  1. ELIGIBILITY: To enter and be eligible to win, a person must be a legal resident of Canada, who is 18 years of age or older at the time of entry into the Contest. Employees, officers and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household of such persons, including common law spouses) of Ferrero Canada Limited / Ferrero Canada Limitée (the "Sponsor"), agents, advertising or promotional agencies, and the independent contest organization are not eligible to enter the Contest.
  2. HOW TO ENTER: The Contest commences at 12:01 am (ET) on April 6, 2009 and will end at 11:59 PM (ET) on October 15, 2009 (the "Promotional Period"). To participate in this promotion, you will require a unique PIN number which can be found inside specially-marked 43g BUENO bars. Look inside the wrapper for the unique PIN number. Unique PIN numbers can only be used once. With each unique PIN number you can enter on-line at www.kinderbueno.ca. All entries must be received by 11:59 PM (ET) on October 15, 2009 (the "Contest Closing Date").
    • To participate enter your 7-digit unique PIN number and select “Submit”.
    • Upon receipt your 7-digit unique PIN number will be verified to ensure it is a valid PIN number and if valid a second webpage will be provided. If your 7-digit unique PIN number is invalid you will receive a message advising that the 7-digit unique PIN number does not match the list of unique PIN numbers or has already been used and to try again with another PIN number. Please check to ensure you have entered the correct PIN number.
    • First Time Participants: If this is your first time participating in this promotion, select “First time visitor” and complete the on-line Registration Form by (a) entering your full name, complete mailing address including postal code, daytime telephone number and date of birth; (b) entering and confirming your e-mail address; (c) entering and confirming a password; (d) selecting the opt-in box, if you wish to receive future news or offers from Ferrero Canada Limited / Ferrero Canada Limitée; (e) reading and accepting the Official Rules; (f) answering the optional questions; and (g) selecting “Submit”.
    • Returning participants: If you have already completed the registration form select “log in” and enter your e-mail address, password and “Submit”.
    • Upon selecting “Submit” the next webpage will confirm that you have been entered into the Draw.
    • A maximum of ten unique PIN numbers can be entered per day per e-mail address.
  3. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: To request a Unique PIN number without purchase and while supplies last, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: BUENO Strut Like a Star PIN request, P.O Box 302, Dept. 280, Oakville, ON L6J 5A2. Limit one (1) request per day, per household. Each mail-in request must be mailed in a separate envelope, bearing sufficient prepaid postage
  4. TELL A FRIEND: Upon completion of your on-line entry, you will receive a webpage with directions of how you can “tell a friend” about the Contest. E-mail addresses of third parties submitted through the “Tell a friend” feature are not stored by the Sponsor and are not retained. Any entrant can tell as many friends as they would like. Make sure you have your friend’s permission before submitting their e-mail address.
  5. LIMIT OF NUMBER OF ENTRIES: A person may only use a unique PIN number once. A person may only use one (1) e-mail address to participate in the Contest. Any person who is found to have entered the Contest with more than one (1) e-mail address will be disqualified and all such entries received by such person during the Promotional Period will be disqualified. Proof of transmission (screenshots or captures etc) does not constitute proof of delivery. Entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means are prohibited and will be disqualified. The Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, falsified, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete entries, which will be void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor upon receipt and none will be returned.
  6. PRIZES: There will be a total of twenty-six (26) prizes (each a “Prize”) available to be won. Grand Prize: There will be one (1) Grand Prize available to be won from all eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date. The Grand Prize consists of “Shoes for a year” with a new pair of shoes for each week within a one year period. A total of fifty-two (52) pairs of shoes will be awarded. The prize will be awarded in the form of fifty-two (52) $200.00 Gift Cards from your favourite shoe store. Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $10,400 CDN. Secondary Prizes: There will be twenty-five (25) Secondary Prizes available to be won from all eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date. Each Secondary Prize consists of a pair of shoes from your favourite shoe store. Each Secondary Prize will be issued in the form of a $250.00 CDN Gift Card. If any purchase does not exceed the Gift Card value, the remaining available balance will not be paid in cash to the Winner but will remain on the Gift Card. If the purchased amount by the Winner is above the available balance of the Gift Card, the Winner must combine the use of the Gift Card with another acceptable form of payment and/or another Gift Card if available. The Gift Card cannot be redeemed, refunded or exchanged for credit or cash. The Gift Cards are subject to terms and conditions. Gift Cards have no expiration date. Transportation to and from the store is not included.Each Prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution and is not transferable or for resale and has no cash surrender. The Sponsor reserves the right, in the event that any Prize or any component of a Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason, to substitute a similar Prize or component of equal or greater value without liability.
  7. DRAWS: Random draws will be conducted from all eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date on October 27, 2009 at 9:00 AM (ET) in Oakville, ON. Odds of being selected for a Prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received on or before the Contest Closing Date. Each selected entrant will be contacted by mail/courier or telephone within ten (10) business days of the Draw Date. In the event that a selected entrant cannot be contacted within ten (10) business days by mail/courier or telephone, the selected entrant will be disqualified, and his/her entitlement to receive the Prize will be forfeited and an alternate eligible entrant will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries received and the above process will be repeated. As a condition of being declared a Winner, each selected entrant must first correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by mail/courier or telephone at a mutually agreed upon time. In the event that a selected entrant incorrectly answers the mathematical skill-testing question, he/she will be disqualified and another entrant will be randomly selected and the above process will be repeated. This process will be repeated until such time as there are twenty-six (26) confirmed Winners (each a “Winner”), and/or no more entries are available.
  8. RELEASE FORM: Each selected entrant must complete and return the Sponsor’s Declaration of Compliance and Release of Liability and Publicity Release Form (the “Form”). By completing and returning the Form, and accepting the Prize, the Winner confirms compliance with the Official Rules, acknowledges that the Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be substituted or transferred and has no cash surrender value, releases the Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents from and against all liability in connection with the Contest and the awarding and use of the Prize, and consents to the use of his/her name, address (city and province) and/or photographs, without further remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor with respect to this Contest. The Form must be returned within the time period specified on the Form or the Prize will be forfeited. Upon receipt of the Form, the Sponsor or a designated agent will delivery his/her prize by mail or courier within thirty (30) days.
  9. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: By entering the Contest, entrants (i) acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the Official Rules and by the decisions of the independent contest organization, made in its sole discretion, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. Entrants who have not complied with these Official Rules will be disqualified.
  10. If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an on-line entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address provided at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
  11. GENERAL: The Sponsor and the independent contest organization do not assume any responsibility and are not responsible for: (i) the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information; (ii) entries which fail to comply with the Official Rules; (iii) any loss, damage, or claims caused by the awarded Prize or the Contest itself; (iv) any failure of the website during the Promotional Period, including any problems, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed, garbled data or transmissions, omissions, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines, or technical malfunction of any computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail; on-line entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from downloading any material in the Contest, all of which may affect a person’s ability to participate in the Contest; or (v) any other matter whatsoever. Entry material/data that have been tampered with or altered are void.
  12. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, (i) the laws of the Province of Québec and construed in accordance with the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws applicable therein in respect of residents of the Province of Québec, and (ii) the laws of the Province of Ontario and construed in accordance with the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws applicable therein in respect of residents of the other Canadian provinces and territories, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any attempt by a participant or any other individual to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  13. The Sponsor reserves the right, with the consent of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, to terminate or suspend this Contest or to amend the Official Rules at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, such as tampering or infection by computer virus, the Sponsor reserves the right, with the consent of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, to cancel the Contest and conduct the draws from all previously eligible entries received by the date of cancellation.
  14. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest in Québec may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
  15. CONSENT TO USE PERSONAL INFORMATION: When you voluntarily choose to register electronically to participate in the Contest, personal information including, but not limited to e-mail address, first name, last name, date of birth, city, province, postal code, and home phone number (collectively "Registrant Information") will be collected from you by the Sponsor. By entering this Contest electronically and providing your Registrant Information, you only consent and agree to: the Sponsors' collection and use of the Registrant Information to administer this Contest, unless you have consented to receive future marketing and promotional information from Ferrero Canada Limited / Ferrero Canada Limitée in accordance with Ferrero’s Privacy Policy at www.kinderbueno.ca. Ferrero Canada Limited / Ferrero Canada Limitée, will only use your personal information, if you have consented to receive future marketing and promotional information.
